[ROLSS] GERB - MSG status

Dear all,

Just to inform you of the current situation resulting from the anomoly on
the MSG-1 satellite on 23rd Sept, since which the GERB and SEVIRI
instruments on that platform have been turned off by EUMETSAT whilst an
investigation into the Satellite incident was undertaken.

Today the GERB instrument was turned back on into a standby mode and is
currently warming up to nominal operating temperature. 

After some startup tests we expect to resume normal operation next week
after the SEVIRI datastream from MSG-1 resumes (which is currently
sceduled for 10th Oct).
